The material is 0.7mm gauge, high quality coated roofing material (usually seen on industrial roofs & cladded side walls).
This finish is more easily marked and scratched than some of my finishes, so where possible I will supply it with a protective film in place, this will need removing prior to using the planter but should add some protection whilst its made, posted and waiting to be filled up.
This planter has the option to add a detachable black rubber safety edge on the top rim, it is hand riveted in place with matching rivets. I do my utmost to file all sharp edges but please do take care if purchasing without the rubber trim.
They are strong and sturdy, with built in drainage. To extend the life of the planter I do recommend lining it prior to planting but that is personal choice. If you chose to line in a pond liner is fabulous for the job, but tin foil works just as well.
Gardeners grit, a layer of leaves, moss anything to add texture and nutrients are great as a base layer before the soil, then add plants and layer up again with soil, leaves, moss and watch your mini garden thrive.
POSTAGE - I am so sorry but I am not able to post any order over 1m (100cm) in length to Scottish Highlands, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight or Northern Ireland due to postage limitations which Etsy is unable to incorporate in our settings. Please do message me as I do have some options and can provide a personalised quotation.
All of the planters are handmade, in Grantham Lincolnshire using prime industrial roofing materials, many are made from material which would of otherwise been destined for the scrap metal bin, this does mean the the finished item may have the odd scratch or dent but nothing detrimental to its planter use, these off cuts are from the roofing sheets, and cladding materials which we supply to both the general public and the industrial roofing trade.

Frequently Asked Questions
Delivery & Returns of standard items;
All deliveries are made by our courier, currently APC. They provide a next day service across Mainland UK. If however you are located offshore, or in Northern Ireland delivery will be via Parcel Force so please allow up to 14 days in this instance.
Should you wish to return an item, please contact us before returning items. If the item is damaged or faulty you will be offered a replacement.
If the item is simply "unwanted" the cost of returning the item will be at the buyers expense, it must be received in a resalable condition at which point a full refund will be given for the cost of the item.
If my Order isn't arrived what do I do?
In the unlikely event of the order not arriving, we ask that you check with your local depot initially.
For APC deliveries you will be provided with a courier consignment number which you can use on the APC website to locate your parcel.
For Royal Mail (parcel force) despatch this will be your local Royal Mail Delivery Office.

Can you Gift Wrap my Order?
Absolutely we can, just select the Gift Wrap Service from the list of items for sale, and rest assured your item will be gift wrapped prior to despatch.
I would like Drainage Holes adding, is this possible?
I am not able to add drainage holes to the Planters or Window Boxes any longer, they aren’t really needed. Please do remember that the planters in most cases are only fixed on 1 base edge, and loose on the other 3 so drainage holes are unnecessary hence not offered as standard.
Custom and personalised orders
I can certainly do custom orders, please be aware however, the material may need to be ordered in especially so the price may be more than the planters in the shop, also I am not a robot so please allow a degree of tolerance with the measurements -/+5mm I do may best but sometimes the metal doesn’t play ball :)
Obviously, unless a serious error has been made, or damage in transit custom orders are non returnable.
